Acquisition creates a UK market leading Healthcare Mobile Application Provider

Horizon Strategic Partners today announces the acquisition of RxGuidelines Limited.

Horizon has built a strong reputation in the healthcare market, winning many prestigious awards such as the EHI award for “Excellence in Mobile Healthcare” in 2015.

Horizon’s innovative MicroGuide™ service enables medical organisations to create, edit and publish their medical guidelines to a mobile application that is accessed by their clinicians.

RxGuidelines provides a similar service and therefore the combined entity will provide mobile healthcare application services to over 100 Hospital Trusts and over 60,000 clinical users of their mobile applications in the UK.

“The acquisition of RxGuidelines strengthens Horizon’s UK operation and consequently gives our combined customer base an enhanced level of support and a more robust application development roadmap” says Horizon’s CEO, Mike Northall. “It enables us to further develop our reach and capabilities in the UK Healthcare Market and will act as a springboard to capitalise on our interests overseas.”

Bob Gilkes, CEO of RXGuidelines commented "The logic of combining the Rx and Horizon skill base, application development expertise and resources is compelling from a business and customer point of view. The two businesses complement each other, share the same culture and vision and therefore I am absolutely confident that as a combined force they will become the market leader in the UK mobile software healthcare market"
